Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar led the praise as greats of the game heaped praise on teenager Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who on Monday became the youngest player to hit a senior T20 century at 14 years and 32 days.
Suryavanshi, a left-handed batter who became the youngest IPL debutant on 19 April, smashed 100 off 35 balls as his Rajasthan Royals side beat Gujarat Titans by eight wickets in the IPL.
Suryavanshi went past the previous record, set by Vijay Zol of Maharashtra at 18 years and 118 days against Mumbai in an Indian domestic match in 2013.

Suryavanshi's ton is the second fastest in the IPL, after Chris Gayle's century in 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2013.
He was eventually bowled by fast bowler Prasidh Krishna for 101 off 38 balls and walked off to a standing ovation at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Tendulkar, who made his Test debut at the age of 16 in 1989, heaped praise on Vaibhav on social media platform X, lauding the youngster's fearless approach.

Suryavanshi's innings included seven fours and 11 sixes. What made it even more remarkable was that it was achieved against a bowling attack that included Rashid Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna, Karim Janat and R Sai Kishore - who boast 694 international caps between them.
Other cricket legends also heaped praise on his heroics on X.
